Since the beginning of this year, school violence, stabbings among 20 year olds and other acts of brutality have been pouring out in the news in the UK.

Chart showing that knife crime has dropped but is rising again in England and Wales

This graph just shows us that crimes in the UK keep growing. Most studies and articles show that this is because younger children do not receive the support they need from their teachers or their parents and are expected to grow up quicker than expected. Children feel the need to be grown ups and live independently and find ways to make easy money and sometimes this is not done in legal ways. This also leads to them joining gangs and getting themselves into bad situations.

This is another reason I wanted to talk about school violence as the subject is so broad and students, teachers, and parents are all affected by it and there are so many reasons to blame everyone and so many reasons for it happening. I want to be able to find a solution to it, and find out what schools and the department of education are doing to make schools a safer area for all and a good building block into the future for these children.
