The Start

My final project is to create a seven minute radio documentary, which also includes this blog to showcase the production process. I started working on this project last month. At first, coming up with a topic was hard as there were many ideas in my head but only a few are doable at this point but I also wanted it to be something that would intrigue and excite me.

When I pitched the idea of school violence as a topic to my tutors, the feedback was well received and I started off with it. But my initial title was “Stabbed On My Way To Maths” but that would entail me finding an interviewee who was stabbed. As I hadn’t found someone who has been through such turmoil, I was hesitant to start my blog with that name in case it didn’t work out. As I have been going through the research of this project, I have ben excited to start writing up my journey through it and to find out more bout school violence, why it happens, who do we hold responsible and what the ultimate outcome is.
